Wildkogel Bacher Skidoo Summercross 2022

PREMIERE
WILDKOGEL BACHER-SKIDOO SUMMERCROSS
16. Juni 2022

The Ultimate Action Event. Hot summer snowmobile race. The best Central Europe Snowcross Racers vs. the world-class Riders from Scandinavia like: PETTER NÅRSA (SWE) FIM World Champ, 2021, GUSTAV SAHLSTEN (SWE) FIM European Champ 2021, Elias Ishoel (NOR) 4 x US Pro Tour Champion, and many more. Wildkogel Bacher-Skidoo Summercross stands for the world’s only snowmobile race, which is being held for the first time and exclusively in summer, with the best snowmobile pilots in the world! The Wildkogel Arena, the family-friendly ski area, is located in a snow-reliable basin between 1,700 and almost 2,200 above sea level and, due to its location and proximity to the Hohe Tauern, guarantees a lot of snow until late spring. With the Wildkogelbahn in Neukirchen and the Smaragdbahn in Bramberg (venue of the Wildkogel Bacher-Skidoo Summercross Race) you can easily reach 2,100 m above sea level, where you are rewarded with a wonderful view of the many 3000m mountains of the Hohe Tauern. The multi-award-winning skiing and hiking area is accompanied by the striking Großer Rettenstein (2,366 meters), which is also a landmark for the region and for the race. In this action-packed race, the best snowcross pilots in Central Europe (Italy, Austria, Switzerland) compete against the world’s most successful snowcross racer elite from Scandinavia and fight for the trophy on a specially prepared snow track. With their hot, tuned, high-performance snowmobiles, the snowmobile drivers really heat up all motorsport fans and spectators at the Wildkogel (Salzburg, Pinzgau). The adrenaline released by the riders as they drive at breathtaking speeds and master daring jumps also provides a huge thrill for the spectators. The Wildkogel Bacher-Skidoo Summercross takes place on Thursday, June 16, 2022 (public holiday) during the CLUB OF NEWCHURCH, one of the largest and most relaxed motorcycle festivals in Europe. The racetrack is located at 2,100 meters above sea level on the Wildkogel in the Kitzbühel Alps. The easiest way for spectators to reach the Battleground is by gondola with the Emerald Railway in Bramberg, on foot or by mountain bike via the well-designed hiking and biking trails. In this exclusive race, based on the North American or Scandinavian Snowcross World Championships, the best snowcross pilots in Central Europe, such as the local heroes Elias Bacher and Kevin Empl from the Bacher Snowcross Racing Team, compete for the trophy together with other top pilots such as Federico Amadei or Marco Galli from Italy against the world’s best snowcross pilots from Scandinavia. This top-class squad from the north includes European champion Gustav Sahlsten, reigning world champion Petter Narsa, both from Sweden, and Elias Ishoel from Norway, 4-time overall winner of the US Pro Tour. Battlefield: Smaragdbahn mountain station Bramberg am Wildkogel Battle date: June 16, 2022 / start from 11:00 a.m. / finals from 2:00 p.m Wildkogel Chill Area: The Wildkogel Alm is located directly at the mountain station of the Smaragdbahn, right next to the Snowcross Racetrack. The Wildkogel Alm is the highest stop on the mountain and offers a great viewing terrace with an optimal view of both the race and the Hohe Tauern. Highlights are the freshly prepared hut delicacies and homemade pizzas. Freestyle jet ski show on the mountain? A freestyle jet ski show awaits visitors to the Wildkogel Summer Snowcross Action Arena as a special show. The experienced jet ski pilots Josef “Bowy” Pochendorfer, Maximilian “Max” Martha and Wolfgang Strasser will present daring stunts and daring jumps with the jet ski in the reservoir of the Wildkogel Arena, which feeds the snowmaking systems in winter. What is snowcross? As in the MX races or Enduro races, the racers have to master extremely steep curves, huge tables, scary kickers and washboard courses on elaborately prepared and lovingly designed routes. Snowcross is the most exciting and thrilling form of snowmobile racing. Further information: BHV Events +43 664 7601641 info@bhv-events.com
